Loving mother and wife DeAnn Evans Upton of Tehachapi passed away on Nov. 24. She was born Oct. 1, 1959 in Long Beach to Janice and Jimmy Evans of Chico. Evans was a 10-year U.S. Navy Veteran, house wife, talented seamstress, knitter, quilter, musician and all around artist. Her many life experiences included living in the Republic of Panama, the Island of Guam, and Japan. Evans is survived by her husband David L. Upton, daughter Casey Lynn Upton both of Tehachapi, mother Janice Evans of Chico and brother Terry Evans of Vacaville. Place of interment will be the Bakersfield National Cemetery, with a date to be determined.
