Beverly June Houghton

Died January 20, 2012

Former Tehachapi resident Beverly June Houghton entered into rest on Jan. 20, in Mooresville, NC. She was 79 years old. The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tehachapi. The graveside service and committal will follow at Tehachapi Public Cemetery — Westside at 1 p.m.

Wind Energy

  1. Planning down on the ranch

    The news that the Pahnamid Wind Energy project has been withdrawn from the County Planning Office is good news to most of us up here on the mountain. After spending several million dollars between the City of Tehachapi’s General Plan, the County’s Specific Plan, and the Kern Council of Government’s “Blueprint,” it would be foolish to start making zoning changes at the first opportunity.
