1957 – 2014

Mark Steven Cohen, 56 years old, was born Oct. 29, 1957, in Los Angeles. Mark was called to join the Heavenly Father on May 21, 2014.  He passed away at his home in Tehachapi.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at the Cohen residence in Tehachapi on Sunday, June 1, at 11 a.m.

Mark was born the middle child of Sidney and Enid Cohen.  He graduated high school early and pursued a job within the film industry.  He worked in the film industry for a number of years before finally achieving his dream to follow in his father’s footsteps and work at Lockheed Martin.  He married Robin Jane Stine on July 7, 1984.  Their only child, Cherie Ashley Cohen, was born on October 8, 1986.

Mark loved the aeronautical industry and continued to work at Lockheed for 29 years before medically retiring in 2012.  He loved model building and flying RC airplanes at his home in Tehachapi.  Mark was also very active with the Stallion Springs community as a CERT member and a member of Neighborhood Watch.  He considered Stallion Springs to be his home.  Another hobby of Mark’s was playing and winning at the game of Backgammon.  Mark enjoyed traveling and, when able, would jump at the chance to go camping with family and friends.  He loved being surrounded by his three amazing dogs, Roxy, Ginger, and Javalyn.

Mark is survived by his wife of 29 years, Robin Cohen; his daughter, Cherie Cohen; and his sister, Pam Cohen.  Mark will also be missed by multiple nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family and friends.

Donations may be sent to the family home in remembrance of Mark Steven Cohen:  30524 Buckskin Drive, Tehachapi, CA 93561.
