Gerald Evan Loggins
1953 – 2012
Gerald Evan Loggins, 59, of Tehachapi was reunited with his wife, Jackie, in Heaven on Aug. 3. Services were held on Friday, Aug. 10, at First Baptist Church of Tehachapi. Military honors and interment were held at Bakersfield National Cemetery.
Jerry was born on May 17, 1953, in Albuquerque, N.M. He was an avid guitarist and enjoyed playing 6-string, 12-string, and his 18-string guitars. He served in the United States Army, including two tours in Vietnam. Immediately following his completion of basic training, he married his high school sweetheart, Jackie; and they were married for 35 years until her passing in 2007. He enjoyed several careers, including aircraft mechanic, machinist, and HVAC technician. He was employed at JT3, LLC and had recently attained his Contractors license in HVAC.
Jerry is survived by a daughter, Janice, and son-in-law, Jesse; and son, Jason; grandchildren, Kristen, Mackenzie, Tony, Jessica, Matthew, and Jason II; great-granddaughter, Bethany; brother, Carlton and his wife, Willi; brother-in-law, Mitch; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Kay; son, Gerald II; parents, Louis Aubrey and Gladys Elizabeth; brothers, Cecil, Billy, and Richard; sister, Muriel and brother-in-law, Kenneth.
