Hattie Elain Melton, a Tehachapi native, passed away at her home in Golden Hills on July 24 with her family by her side. She was 68 years old.
Elain was born in Tehachapi on Sept. 8, 1944, to Orville Bryan and Lillian Hattie (Clark) Harris.
