Dale Stephen Dennis
1951 – 2013
Dale Stephen Dennis, age 62, passed away suddenly on Dec. 26, 2013 at San Joaquin Community Hospital.
Dale grew up in the Maricopa Valley where his father Howard Dennis was a rancher for most of the valley. He learned anything worth having is worth working hard for. He graduated from West High School in 1969 as the state wrestling champion of his weight division. He worked for 13 proud years as a motorman on drilling rigs in many oilfield in California. During which he met his soul mate, Linda Sue Monarch. They went on their first date Aug. 6, 1981 and stayed by one another until he was called home to heaven.
He retired in 1999 to spend more time with family and to putter around his yard. Always quick with a joke or a gag. It was hard not to smile around him.
He will be remembered for his passion for life and love of the smell of the ocean and riding waves for most of his young life.
He will be remembered for telling his stories and jokes. Just keep in mind the spirit Dale carried with him in any given situation he always had a way to make you feel better when you needed it the most. Giving you a hug, a smile, or just a wink of his eye. Dale was loved by many and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years Linda Dennis of Tehachapi and their two adult sons, Gabriel Knight of Arizona and Anthony Dennis of Tehachapi, along with five grand kids.
A celebration of life will be commemorated at the family home on Jan. 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a potluck. Dale's wish was for all of you to laugh, smile and be happy.
