1934 – 2014
David Alcorn, a resident of Tehachapi, passed away in his home Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. David lived most of his life in Hanford, was a member of First United Methodist Church, and graduated from Hanford High School in 1952. He went on to play football at COS and pursued a degree in criminology. In 1954 David married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Fry. David was employed by the Kings County Sheriffs Office and eventually served as Undersheriff. While with the Sheriffs Office he was chosen to attend the FBI academy in Quantico, Va.
David spent his free time fishing and going on trips with his RV club and camping with his family. He moved to Tehachapi in 2002 to be closer to his children.
David is survived by his wife Ruth Alcorn, brother John Alcorn, daughter Renee Nicovich and husband Bruce, daughter Brenda Raphael and husband Tommy, four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
