Patricia was born on Oct. 7, 1955, in Los Angeles, to Joe and Luz Ahuero. In 1969, the family moved to Tehachapi, where Pat became a proud Warrior and member of Future Farmers of America at Tehachapi High School, graduating in 1973.
After high school, Pat attended college and started working for the State of California; first at California Correctional Institution, then with the Division of Oil and Gas. In 1979, she married Phillip Shearer and together they embarked on a journey of adopting eight children and fostering many more.
Patricia loved horses, dogs, The Beatles, Paul Revere, The Raiders, The Monkeys and Tiger Beat Magazine. But Patricia's most powerful love was for Our Lord Jesus Christ. In high school, Patricia became very involved in her Christian faith, which later formed her strong values that helped her through her long illness. Our sister was not flawless or close to perfect. But she tried to be better every day.
Patricia entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on July 8. She leaves behind a husband of 35 years, Phillip Shearer; eight children, Adam, Hanniel, Grant, DJ, Rhys, Tristan, Owen, Lucy; and grandson, Nicholas Shearer. Also missing her is our father, Joe Ahuero, and his wife, Udi; siblings, Patrick and Stella; niece, Camille Ahuero; and friends, Debbi Schmidt, Debbi Franchere, and many others.
Patricia is preceded in death by our mother, Luz Munoz Ahuero.
For the first time Patricia is perfect! She has two strong legs, a strong heart, and no grey hairs.
Patricia, we love you and will miss and think of you always. You will never be far from our hearts and thoughts.
