Tresa was born the first daughter of Richard and Betty Chenard, in Los Angeles, on March 30, 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Ralph. She is survived by her loving family, including her sisters, Sharon and Debbie; her daughters, Debbie, Lenita, Sundee, Teresa, and Tiffany; and her son, Rick. Her grandchildren are Amelia, Andrew, Carson, Evan, Jason, Jennifer, Justin, Kevin, and Mike; and great-grandchildren, Jack and Parker.
Tresa grew up in Whittier where she raised her family before moving to Tehachapi where she had lived for the past 13 1/2 years. She was an avid gardener with an amazing green thumb. She could grow anything anywhere. Her love of cooking was something that her mother taught her well, was matched by her husband's skills, and something treasured and passed on to her children and grandchildren.
Dona Clara Middaugh peacefully joined God's Kingdom on Dec. 23, 2014.
Dona graduated from Rosemead High School in 1951, obtained an Associate in Arts degree from Los Angeles Valley Junior College in 1953, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northridge in 1959. She also spent four years with the Forest Service and received accommodations for her hard work. Dona was a Licensed Vocational Nurse for 12 years at Holy Cross Hospital, where she met her true calling for helping and caring for people. It was a thrill for Dona and Jackie to ride their motorcycle back and forth between Bouquet Canyon and the hospital.
Barry Breen of Melbourne, Fla. passed away on, Dec. 30, 2014, at the age of 69 years old from a rare illness, Familial Amyloidosis, which he had been suffering with for nearly a decade or more. Breen lived in Tehachapi from 1985 to 2003, and had served as a member of the Airport Commission, as vice-president of the Tehachapi Health Care District, and as president of the Tehachapi Unified School District Board. He was employed at both China Lake Naval Weapons Center and then at Edwards Air Force Base while living in Tehachapi, with his last 15 years at Edwards. One of his past roles was chief of the Avionics Engineering Flight/Ground Test Division. Barry was deeply involved in developing the merit pay system at Edwards known as “CCAS” and frequently led hiring initiatives for new, highly qualified engineers, including developing internship opportunities for college students during the Summer. Breen was also the adoptive father of John Breen who died of the pneumonic plague in 1995; John had been born in Colombia and was adopted by Barry several years earlier.
Breen, was born in Santa Monica on Sept. 6, 1945, and was raised in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley, living in the cities of Encino, Tarzana and Northridge. He attended Sequoia Junior High School, and graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1963. He grew up across the street from Roy Rogers as a 6 to 12 year old in the early San Fernando Valley. His Father, Cy Breen, died at the age of 100 in 2012 and was also well known in the Los Angeles area.

Roene was born on March 21, 1956, in Tombstone, Ariz., to parents Silvia Dawn and Roy Barney. She had three siblings Bill, Lawane and Joni.

Surrounded by his loving family, Donald Eugene Ward, peacefully and gracefully passed away at his home on Dec. 17. He is survived by his beautiful and faithful bride of 69 years, Dorothy Ward; his three daughters, Dixie Hustead, Donnie Ward, and Dale Martin; son-in-law, David Martin; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; with two more on the way.
His legendary life included interests in philosophy, science and spirituality. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, a poet, inventor, writer, risk taker, entrepreneur, singer, and seeker of truth and adventure. His athletic interests through the years included handball, boxing, endurance horse racing, scuba diving, sky diving, and much more.

Melba Ruth Dykes Metzler passed away on Nov. 23 2014.
Melba leaves her two sons and many grand children, and many dear friends. She was married to William Dykes for 37 years and raised his two sons Bob and Mike. After he passed away, she married Robert Metzler and they were married for 18 wonderful years. Robert passed away eight years ago. All of Melba's friends and family will miss her.
