Red Cross calls for specific items needed at Tehachapi shelter

Rolin and Whitman had moved in June 15. “We just got the solar hooked up and the well working,” Rolin said. They had been in Bakersfield all day and returned to learn the news.

The Red Cross has ask those interested in helping victims of the West Fire.

Please drop any donations you have by the Tehachapi News office, 411 N. Mill St. The Tehachapi News staff will collect them and deliver them to the Red Cross shelter here in town.

• To drop off clothing, So Childish, 785 Tucker Road (Albertson's parking lot), is accepting clothing. The Salvation Army is giving fire victims vouchers to visit So Childish and go through what's been dropped off. Whatever is left over will be donated to the Salvation Army for their back to school drive.
