The Union Bank Foundation donated $5,000 to the Tehachapi Salvation Army to assist with relief and recovery efforts related to the West Fire that recently ravaged the community.
“It is truly inspiring how the community of Tehachapi has joined together to help each other through this tragedy,” said Kelly Saunders, vice president and branch manager, Tehachapi. “The Union Bank Foundation was created to support the communities that the bank serves and this community certainly deserves a helping hand during this difficult time.”
“On behalf of the Salvation Army, I would like to thank the Union Bank Foundation for its donation,” said Marget Willer, the Salvation Army's center coordinator. “It is generous donations like these that breathe life into our organization and in turn have allowed us to assist the victims of the Tehachapi West Fire.”
The Salvation Army Tehachapi Service Unit is now providing ongoing shelter assistance, vouchers, clothing and personal items to provide relief for victims of the West Fire and facilitate recovery throughout the community.
