After a two-week break, Warrior cross-country was back on the run, traveling to Ridgeview High School to compete in the SYL Mini Meet #2. THS ran in the 5 divisions held on a 2-mile and 3-mile course.

Frosh/Soph boys were first to the line and didn't disappoint as they finished 2nd overall in the meet on the 2-mile run. Axel Inzunza (12:16) led the Indians again finishing 5th overall. Bryson Sheen (13:01), John Loehr (13:02) and Stephen Whelan (13:04) followed to wrap up the 2nd place team finish.

The JV ladies stepped to the line next two test the 2-mile course. Cloie Sharp (15:39), with a severe foot cramp, still managed to lead the Lady Braves. Soleil Mc Caleb (16:03) and Junior Lydia Silitonga (16:10) followed in order.

The JV guys rounded out the last 2-mile run. Times have improved but the JV guys ended the day in 5th place. Zach Sanders (13:53) again led the THS effort and was followed by Mehki Leonard (13:56) and Thomas Nichols (14:16).

THS Varsity girls started the 3-mile course and earned a 4th place finish where three schools were all within five points of each other for 2nd place. Ella Moomey (21:32) continues to impress as she finished 10th overall. Jo Trillo (21:48) and Reilly Moomey (22:31) showed signs of being healthy and mid-season form as they both posted their best times of the year.

The varsity boys closed out the event for the day on the fast 3-mile course and the Warrior boys all posted their fastest times of the year. Still, the Warriors, like the ladies were 5th in a group of three schools battling for 3rd place. Of special note Brandon Janney (16:45) was 9th overall and set a new THS XC record on the Ridgeview course, eclipsing Ethan Zehrs old record by 5 seconds. Janney was followed by the young ones again as Travis Sturckow (17:55) and Mitchell Poulson (18:04) were the next THS runners to finish.

Warrior XC travels to Foothill on Oct. 11 to compete in a non-league dual match and then goes to West High School on Oct, 18 for another SYL Mini Meet.
