The Tehachapi Warrior boys’ soccer team has played hard the whole season. In their final league game against Golden Valley on Feb. 6, they kept it a close game.

Although they lost 2-3, they still fought hard to the end.

Luis Sanchez, Tehachapi keeper, made several diving saves that kept the Warriors in the game. Timmy Beiswenger scored first, with Golden Valley answering with a goal of their own. Beiswenger scored again and was answered again by Golden Valley. The game was decided by a penalty kick against the Warriors late in the game.

The Warriors finished league with a 3-7 record and will be heading to the playoffs with a game against Shafter on Tuesday.

Emily Beiswenger has a brother on the team.
