THS Swimming splits victories with East

The Warriors were victorious against East 135-33 and the Lady Warriors fell in an SEYL dual against Blades, 96-75, last week at Dye Natatorium.

Helping the THS boys to victory was first place finishes in the 200 medley relay (Andrew Sparling, Sean Banks, Alan Ayers, Brayton Teare — 1:57.83), 200 freestyle (Andrew Bartels — 2:20.25), 50 freestyle (Ayers — 25.00), 100 butterfly (Ayers — 1:03.09), 100 freestyle (Andrew Sparling — 55.82), 500 freestyle (Bartels — 6:24.31), 200 freestyle relay (Josh Sparling, Zach Gaylord, Brayton Teare, Bartels — 1:47.70), 100 backstroke (Andrew Sparling — 1:01.78), 100 breaststroke (Banks — 1:10.72) and 400 freestyle (Andrew Sparling, Josh Sparling, Banks, Ayers — 3:55.69). First place for the THS girls came in the 200 individual medley (Vanessa Neang — 2:49.96), 100 butterfly (Morgan Maiden — 1:10.21) and 100 backstroke (Kylee Blackburn — 1:16.32).

Mountain Swimming will be at Burroughs-Ridgecrest this Wednesday and will have another SEYL meet vs. North at Dye Natatorium this Thursday. Both events will start at 3:30 p.m.
