After finishing the CIF Central Section Division II playoffs with a berth in the semifinals and sporting a team 8-2 league record overall, four Lady Warriors were tapped with the distinction as part of the Southeast Yosemite League’s best.
Darian Grisso was selected for All-SEYL first team honors after reaching the championship of the league tournament and receiving a runner-up medal, while Lexi Zimmerman and Ashley Rush were honorable mention with a fifth place showing in doubles and Alexis Schoenberg a honorable mention with a sixth place finish in singles.
Zimmerman had 25 overall wins this season, while Rush had a 25-15 overall record. Both athletes played no. 1 and no. 2 doubles. Schoenberg also reached the 20-win plateau, recording 22 overall victories during the season.
Other notable achievements from Tehachapi players included Carrie Brewer (20-4 doubles record), Brooke Neufeld (14-11 overall record), Meagan Thiesse (19-6 overall record), Shelby Newman (15-10 doubles record), Sarah Jensen (13-8 singles record), Laney Ricker (11-4 doubles record) and Liz Martinez (three doubles wins).

Darian Grisso - Senior
Grisso's accolades in tennis over her four year tenure at THS have been numerous, capped with a first team selection this year in the SEYL. Playing no. 1 singles and doubles for Tehachapi, the talented senior finished her brilliant senior year with a 21-10 record in singles and a 27-16 record overall, reaching the round of 16 in the CIF Individuals Tourney. Grisso is a three time first team all-league selection.
