The Warriors competed in an SEYL meet against North this past Wednesday in Bakersfield, with the Warriors falling 100-44 and the Lady Warriors losing by a team count of 100-50.
Highlighting the efforts for the Warriors were Abraham Katona (55.66) and Devin Ragsdale (56.66) in the open 400 meter run, Garrett Sebra (12.3), Keyron Scott (12.59) and Spencer Loe (12.6) in the 100 meter run and Devin Ragsdale (24.40) and Caleab Hutto (24.8) in the 200 meter run. Other highlights included Angel Garcia taking first place in the shotput (43-3) and Sean Casey second place (38-1) in the shot put. Greg Dodge took first in the discus (110-4) and Isaiah Hutto took second in the discus (107-8.5). Gary Gomes also took third place (31-11) in the shot put and third place (75-2) in the discus in the frosh-soph division.
For the Lady Warriors, highlights included the 4x100 team of Saundra Cone, Rebecca Sebra, Alexis Namey and Madison Eberle (first - 53.00 seconds), Alexis Namey in the 100 hurdles (second - 17.8), 100 meters (third – 13.95) and 300 hurdles (first – 50.03), Madison Eberle in the 400 meters (first - 61.07) and 100 meters (second – 13.45), Brooke Gardner in the shot put (second - 27-2.6) and discus (first - 87-6.6) and Kylie Tye in the shot put (third - 26-6) and discus (fourth – 70-0).
Track and Field also participated in the Wildcat Invite this past weekend and highlights will be available next week. Up next for Tehachapi is an SEYL meet at Highland HS against Highland and Garces this Wednesday, April 2. The first event will start at 3:30 p.m.
