Mountain Volleyball made their presence known in the playoffs last week, defeating CMAC League champion Sanger in the CIF Division II quarterfinals in a three game sweep.

Tehachapi (31-2) dominated from start to finish, rolling to a pair of 25-15 wins in the first two games and edging the Apaches in game three, 25-23, to record the resounding quarterfinal win.
Destiny Julye led the team with 13 kills in the match, while Tiffany Short and Kim Smith also had 10 kills apiece.

Samantha Wallace led the team in assists with 34, while also recording a team-high 11 points one on serve. Wallace also joined Kayleigh Jarrett, Short, and Kendall Kapitzke with recorded aces.
In the backcourt, Jarrett had one of her best games of the year with 24 digs, which marked her second best output in 33 games this season. Smith also had 11 blocked shots, followed by Elayna Cramer with eight blocks and Wallace with five blocks.

Danielle Simpson and Cramer also contributed to the match win with three kills each.

With the victory, the Lady Warriors will play in the CIF Division II semifinals this Tuesday evening at no.2 seed Lemoore. Should they win, THS will either be at home this Thursday evening in the CIF championship against no.5 seed Independence or travel to no.1 seed El Diamante.

Both matches this Tuesday and Thursday will start at 7 p.m.
