The Warriors logged their first win of the year at the Terrio Therapy Spring Classic in Bakersfield with an 8-5 victory over Taft last Tuesday afternoon.
Tehachapi (1-3) recorded four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 7-5 lead, never looking back to record the victory.
Mountain Baseball had 12 hits overall, led by Reid Feeley going 3-4 at the plate with two doubles. Other leaders included Nash Franko going 2-3 with a homerun and three RBIs, David Carter going 2-4, and Tyler Huebner, Cade Temple, Davin Domingo, Eric Johnson and Steven Nielsen all recording hits.
Temple pitched five innings and registered six strikeouts.
The Warriors also had another contest later in the week against Ridgeview, ending the game with a 5-3 loss.
Justin Amparan, Lucas Underhill, Feeley, Franko, Nielsen and Johnson all had hits, with Underhill also recording two RBIs and a run scored in the game. Feely pitched five innings and recorded four strikeouts and Brandon Ursua had two strikeouts.
The Warriors were at Burroughs-Ridgecrest earlier this week and those results will be available in the next edition of the Tehachapi News. Mountain Baseball will next be in action next Monday, March 10 in a double header at Taft at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
