The Lady Warriors finished off the Southeast Yosemite League season with a second place finish in the team standings and the duo of Ashley Rush -- Sarah Jensen and Carrie Brewer -- Laney Ricker taking top four finishes in the SEYL doubles tournament.

In the regular season team finale last Tuesday, Tehachapi (12-11; 8-2 SEYL) lost to Garces, 7-2. The Rams won the SEYL title and closed the regular season with an undefeated record.

The Lady Warriors were the only team in league play to record two match wins against the Rams, with the doubles tandems of Brewer-Ricker (5-7, 6-3, 10-7) and Hannah Silitonga-Audrey Moon (6-1, 4-6, 10-3) winning second and third doubles.

Most recently at the SEYL individual tournament held last Thursday and Friday, the Lady Warriors had two doubles teams reach the final four.

Rush-Jensen cruised to wins in the Round-of-16 (6-0, 6-2) and the quarterfinals (7-5, 6-0) over opposition from Highland, while Brewer-Ricker won their Round of 16 match (6-1, 6-2) and quarterfinal match (6-4, 6-0) over opponents from North.

In the semifinals, Brewer-Ricker lost to the eventual champions from Garces 6-1, 6-4, finishing in fourth place. Rush-Jensen nearly made the league championship final in a hard fought 6-4, 5-7, 5-7 loss, but came back to win third place over their teammates, Brewer and Ricker, 6-2, 6-4.

Audrey Moon and Micaela Pryor also registered a Round-of-16 win over a Highland opponent (3-6, 6-4, 7-5), while Silitonga won a round-of-16 singles match (6-1, 3-6, 6-1) over an opponent from North.
