The Warriors recently had a SEYL meet at Brite Lake against Foothill, with a multitude of THS athletes turning in top marks.
The Varsity men lost 15-50, but were led by Joseph Budai (20:13) finishing eighth, followed by Oscar Machado (20:38) and Aidan Gillam (20:57) coming in ninth and 10th, respectively in the three-mile course. The jayvee squad lost 19-38 and were led by Wes Poulson (12:56) coming in second, Ethan Zehr (13:25) finishing in seventh and Jacob Heier (13:49) coming in eighth in the two-mile course.
The varsity women were just edged out in the team scoring in a 26-29 loss, with Jessica Perreault (22:09) coming in second and Alexis Namey (22:44) coming in third in the three-mile race. Leaders for the jayvee girls, who lost to Foothill 15-50, was Eva Rowe (17:50) taking fourth and Vanessa Navarro (18:17) coming in sixth place in the two-mile course.
Mountain Cross Country also recently participated in the Mt. SAC meet. Top THS runners included Joseph Budai (18:42), Oscar Machado (20:02), Dean Hoisington (23:40), Jessica Perreualt (20:28) and Julie Sitckney (24:58). Earning medals in the event was Angie Kroeger (22:11) taking 15th out of 150 runners in her class and Wes Poulson (18:00) taking 14th out of 170 runners in his division.
Tehachapi will have their next meet this Thursday in Bakersfield against Garces. The first race will start at 3:30 p.m.
