Behind the brilliant running of Keyron Scott, the Braves are still undefeated in the SEYL title race after a 35-6 victory over North last Friday afternoon.
Scott had a season-high 194 rushing yards on 20 carries and scored on four touchdown runs of 5, 8, 1 and 17 yards.
Taydin Macon also had a strong game for Tehachapi (7-1; 3-0 SEYL) with 72 yards on 13 carries, while Troy Noda, Noah Whitlach and Daniel Viselli combined for 91 yards rushing.
Noda also had one of the most impressive catches of the season, hauling in a 31-yard touchdown pass one-handed from quarterback Lars Olofson with just over three minutes left in the first quarter.
On defense, Gabe Dodge led the team with eight tackles, while Jacob Gonzales, Chase Podratz, Tanner Herman and Daniel Wight had seven tackles apiece.
Herman and Wight also had fumble recoveries on kickoff returns and Podratz recorded an interception in the fourth quarter.
On special teams, Carson Bethany had five kickoffs for 182 total yards and was a perfect 5-5 on his PAT attempts.
The Braves will have a game with Foothill this Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. The Trojans defeated previously league undefeated Garces 20-7 last Friday.
The Indians suffered a defeat to North last Thursday afternoon, 58-0.
Philippe Vachon, Marty McIrvin, Tyler Mata, Tyler Metzler and Nathaniel Gonzalez all combined for 48 rushing yards to lead the offense.
Cameron Walsh also had an eight-yard reception, Vachon a nine yard reception and Metzler a five-yard reception in other game highlights.
Paul Stephens-Green and Metzler both split time at quarterback, combining to complete four passes for 26 total yards.
On defense, Metzler led the team with 11 tackles, followed by Mata with nine tackles and Gary Gomes with seven tackles.
