Tehachapi vs. Garces Alumni Bowl sign-ups announced

Alumni Football USA has announced that a second annual Tehachapi vs. Garces alumni football game will be played at Coy Burnett Field on March 17 at 7 p.m.

A meeting for any former THS athletes interested in participating will be held at 4 p.m. this Saturday, at City Slickers Restaurant, 1001 W. Tehachapi Blvd.

If you are Tehachapi High School alum and want to put the gear back on one more time and play, this is your opportunity! Tehachapi's roster is limited to 40 spots and will fill up fast!

Practices are being held every Wednesday (3:30 p.m.) and Saturday (3 p.m.) at Coy Burnett Field.

    The news that the Pahnamid Wind Energy project has been withdrawn from the County Planning Office is good news to most of us up here on the mountain. After spending several million dollars between the City of Tehachapi’s General Plan, the County’s Specific Plan, and the Kern Council of Government’s “Blueprint,” it would be foolish to start making zoning changes at the first opportunity.
