Football practice only two weeks away
Summer Practice for Mountain Football officially starts on Monday, July 29. Varsity will have two-a-day practice in the morning (6 a.m.) and evening (6 p.m.), while the jayvee and freshmen teams will practice in the evening (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.). Players will need to have their physical and paperwork on file prior to the first day of practice. Mountain Football is currently holding workouts in the gym weight room for the varsity (6 a.m.) and junior varsity / freshmen (5:30 p.m.) this week and continuing through July 25. Weight training will be Monday through Thursday each week.
The first game for Tehachapi will be a scrimmage against South in Bakersfield on Aug. 23. The first official game of the season will be a home game against Exeter on Aug. 30. A full game schedule is available at thswarriors.com.
THS Volleyball holding camp this week
Tehachapi High School is holding a volleyball camp this Monday through Thursday, July 15-18 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day at the THS gymnasium.
The camp is for all girls in 7th through 12th grade in the fall of 2013. The cost for the camp is $100. There will be three courts, frosh/soph, junior varsity and varsity. A parent permission form is required to attend the camp.

Girls Tennis practice will begin in August
Girls Tennis practice for the upcoming fall season will start on Monday, Aug. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Tehachapi High School courts.
Practices are mandatory and each athlete must have a sports physical on file to participate. Returning players, please note the new start time of 8:30 a.m. for this season. All girls interested in tennis, particularly incoming freshmen, are encouraged to try out.
