One of Tehachapi’s most talented soccer players will be taking her skills to the next level, having recently signed a letter of intent to play at Humboldt State University.

Diehl, a senior at Tehachapi High, was a two-time first team all-league selection her sophomore and junior years. This past season ended prematurely for Diehl due to a knee injury, but the standout still managed to record a senior highlight with a hat trick against Golden Valley in the Garces Festival.

In her high school career, Diehl ended with 84 goals in four years on the varsity team. As a junior, she scored 41 goals and 16 assists, with her goal total ranking fourth overall among central California athletes in 2012.
