Warriors earn singles and doubles victories at Clovis Tourney

The Warriors opened their season last week by participating in the largest high school tennis tournament in the nation, which features over 117 schools across 23 sites in the Fresno/Clovis area.

Tehachapi opened up pool play in Division V of the tournament at Sanger High School, where the Warriors won four matches overall against competition from Sanger, Golden West and Monache.

Ryan Bilotta and Wyatt Newman won a doubles match against Sanger 7-6 (3), 6-3, Jonathan Supple and Keegan Zehr defeated a Golden West opponent in doubles 7-5, 6-2, while Sam Gillam and Josh St. John also defeated Golden West in doubles, 7-6 (6), 6-4.

Bilotta also won a singles match against Monache, 6-2, 6-3.
Mountain Tennis also played in the Division V (Pool 4) bracket last Saturday in Fresno and results will be available next week. The Warriors will continue their pre-season with an away match at Bakersfield High this Thursday at 4 p.m.
