Warriors baseball cruises over Eastside

Building off a pair of wins over West and Bakersfield Christian at the Terrio Tournament the previous week, the Warriors continued their winning ways into the Antelope Valley with a 11-5 victory over Eastside-Lancaster last Thursday.

Nathan Hedberg went 2-4 with a triple and Sagun Gainey was 2-2 with three runs scored and two RBIs to help the Warriors roll to the victory.

Blake Watters also had a double in the contest, while hits also came from Justin Amparan, Michael Llamas, Steven Nielsen, Nick Urso, Reid Feeley and Davin Domingo.

Domingo also had four runs scored in the game and an RBI and Urso accounted for two runs scored.

Llamas led the team in putouts with 11 overall, while David Wier recorded the win on the mound with three strikeouts in four innings.

Tehachapi (3-3) will have a pair of contests against southern section opponents this week, with an away game this Wednesday against Lancaster and a pair of home games against Burroughs and Quartz Hill on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. The home contests will be at the THS baseball field at 3 p.m.

The Warriors will also be in action this Saturday at the Wasco Tourney.
