The Scots edged Tehachapi in a SEYL wrestling dual last Wednesday afternoon, taking a 49-24 victory over the Warriors.
Tehachapi gave up three losses by forfeit, facing an 18-0 deficit before the match started due to not fielding a wrestlers in the 106, 220 and heavyweight classes.
Despite the team defeat, Mountain Wrestling did get wins by decision from Arturo Meza (113 pounds) and Dean Hoisington (170 pounds) and pins recorded from Fletcher Allen (132 pounds at the 2:56 mark, Lance Stone (145 pounds) at the 1:24 mark and Thomas Duran (160 pounds) at the 1:29 mark.
Allen had a pair of two-point takedowns and a two-point near fall to go up 6-1 before his pin. Stone had a two-point takedown and two-point near fall before his pin, and Duran had a two-point takedown before recording his victory by fall.
The Warriors will travel to North to take on the Stars in an SEYL dual this Wednesday. The match will begin at 6 p.m. in Bakersfield.
