Mountain Track and Field recently had 16 athletes named to the first, second and honorable mention teams after the varsity boys and girls finished the season in third place in the Southeast Yosemite League.
Taking first team honors were Andrew Jimenez, Kevin Rooney and Cameron Gamble.
Securing second team All-SEYL were Isaiah Hutto (multi-events), Calvin Herman (hurdles) and Adrianne Jacobs (hurdles).
Honorable mention Warriors went to sprint athletes Ian Neufeld, Michael Contreras, Madison Eberle, Alexis Namey and Anna Szymanska, while hurdle honorable mentions went to Skylar Valencia. Other honorable mention recognitions went to Caleab Hutto (jumps), Brooke Gardner (throwing), Jessica Perreault (distance runs) and Sarah Stickney (multi-events).
Herman was a standout hurdler on the season that ended up with a second place finish at the South Area Finals with a time of 40.12 in the 300 meters. Valencia was a SEYL champion in the 300 meters with a time of 41.43, while the quad team of Neufeld, Herman, Contreras and Valencia were league champions in the 4x400 meters with a time of 3:27.57.
For the Lady Warriors, Jacobs was a league champion in the long jump with a leap of 14 feet and two inches and Eberle won the 200 meters with a time of 27.01.

Andrew Jimenez, Senior
Named all-league for throwing events, Jimenez finished his final season as a Warrior with a first place finish in shot put (47 feet) and second in the discus (126 feet, 6 inches) at the league finals. He also had a strong run in area competition, taking third in the shotput (46 feet, 8 inches) and sixth in the discus (138 feet, 11 inches) at the CIF South Area Championships.
Cameron Gamble, Senior
One of the most decorated athletes from 2012-2013, Gamble earned first team all-SEYL for the third time in one school year after garnering first team honors in cross country and soccer. The talented distance runner won the 1600 meter race at the SEYL championships with an impressive time of 4:41.77 and finished in ninth in the 1600 (4:39.96) and seventh in the 800 (2:02.67) at the CIF South Area Championships to end the year.
Kevin Rooney, Senior
The distance running specialist had a strong season that was capped with a pair of second place finishes in the 1600 meter (4:42.05) and 3200 meter (10:22.34) races and a fifth place showing in the 800 meter (2:11.03) run at the SEYL championships. Rooney also finished in eighth place in the 3200 (10:30.11) and 11th in the 1600 (4:48.30) at the South Area Finals.
