Members of the Oak Tree Country Club Women's Golf Club competed in the 2013 President's and Vice President's Cup Tournament on June 27-28.
Twenty-two contenders entered the two-day event, with 15 vying for the President's Cup and seven for the Vice President's Cup.
This year's President's Cup winner with a net total of 140 was Connie Shobe and the Vice President's Cup winner was Anita Gifford with a net total of 76.
Flight winners are: Lanae Brandolino, President's Cup first flight low gross, 170, and Jerri Martin, low net, 148. Diane Griffin second flight low gross, 198, and Lee Kapka, low net, 155.Lani Sebastian third flight low gross, 209, and Dede Potvin low net, 162. Peggy Goodwin, Vice President's Cup low gross, 117, and Nancy Williamson low net, 78.
All the winners received certificates for their accomplishments at the luncheon after the tournament.
The two cup winners will receive their major individual awards at the club's annual awards luncheon in December. At that same event, the flight winners will each receive a gift certificate.
The culmination of the tournament was the luncheon on the Mulligan Room patio.
In celebration of the 35th year of the club, all local past presidents who were not playing were invited to join in an afternoon of reminiscing.
Five past presidents united with the six who were playing to talk and show pictures of the club throughout its history.
One of the charter members of this women's golf club, Donna Grier, was in this group, ensuring that at least one member was represented for every year the OTCCWGC has existed.
