The BeeKay Theatre — once the town’s movie theater — has been fully restored and has an active schedule of community and junior theatre performances.
The Tehachapi Community Theatre, founded in 1968, is a performing arts group comprised of local actors and actresses. The group puts on live stage productions for the community, and also offers various classes and workshops.
The Tehachapi Community Theatre now has a permanent performance space with the reconstruction of the historic Beekay Theatre. This historic theatre, located at 110 S. Green St., is now the home of plays, concerts, lectures and many other live performances.
