The new year kicked off with the promotion of three students to the rank of Black Belt at EMB Martial Arts located at 20424 W. Valley Blvd., Suite C. Along with the rank comes the title of Sensei.

EMB Martial Arts began in Tehachapi in 2008. Since then, 16 students have achieved the rank of Black Belt with an average training time of five years.
