Hunter Nikoley, a 2021 graduate at Mojave River Academy, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. This accomplishment represents six years of adventure, fun, work and dedication to the Boy Scout program for Hunter, a member of Tehachapi Troop 136.
During the process of satisfying the requirements for the Eagle rank, Hunter has performed community services, provided services and leadership for his troop, and will serve as an assistant Scout master.
In addition to the traditional outdoor skills learned in Boy Scouts, Hunter has a host of merit badges including those from photography to space.
His Eagle project was to design and rebuild obstacles for The Wild Hope Ranch, to be utilized during horsemanship workshops and training. Wild Hope also helps other equine professionals by offering their facilities for educational clinics and works with local rescues to train rescued horses in preparation for adoption.
Hunter will be formally presented the Eagle Scout award at a Court of Honor ceremony on July 10.
