Stallion Springs police arrested two men and one woman June 17 following a shooting in the community in the early morning hours of March 26.

After receiving a call of a gunshot victim, officers arrived at a residence on Capot Court and found Levi Songer, 20, of Tehachapi, inside the residence and suffering from a gunshot wound from a small caliber firearm, police said in a news release. Songer was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Also present in the home were Richard Dearborn, 30, of Stallion Springs, and Emma Flynn, 21, of Tehachapi, according to the police news release.

A search of the area revealed a .22-caliber rifle hidden in a trailer next to the residence, police reported. Later in the day, officers determined the gun was stolen from a vehicle in Stallion Springs in the early morning hours before the reported shooting.

Police believe Songer had been shot in the backseat of a vehicle that was parked in front of the residence, according to the police news release. Warrants were issued for the arrest for Songer, Dearborn and Flynn.

Dearborn was arrested on suspicion of concealing, destroying evidence, possession of a firearm while being the subject of a domestic violence restraining order, theft of firearm, theft, receiving stolen property, accessory to crime, filing a false police report and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Flynn was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, theft of firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, accessory to a crime, filing a false police report, obstruction of a peace officer, receiving stolen property, petty theft and conceal and/or destroying evidence.

Dearborn and Flynn are scheduled to appear for pretrial conferences at 10 a.m. Sept. 21 at the Mojave Division of Kern County Superior Court.

Songer was arrested on suspicion of possession of firearm by felon, possession of ammunition by felon, negligent discharge of firearm, theft of a firearm, theft, possession of stolen property and filing a false police report.

He is scheduled to appear for a felony arraignment at 9 a.m. July 9 at the Mojave Division of Kern County Superior Court.
