Easter joy made its way to Bear Valley Springs on Friday and Saturday, first with an opportunity for children to dye Easter eggs, and then for them to go on an egg hunt, complete with prizes.

Early Saturday morning, an Easter bunny helper spreads out Easter candy and small toys for children to find. Divided into three age groups, each group could look for several golden eggs hidden about with special gift tags inside. When turned in, a special prize was given to the finder.
Food coloring is used to dye the Easter eggs.
When a crayon design is drawn on an egg before dyeing, the design will appear white after the egg is dipped into the food coloring.
After finding one of the golden eggs, Kennedi Clark trades it in to an Easter bunny helper for her prize.
Three golden eggs were hidden in each area. Finders would open the egg, read what their prize was and run off to claim it from one of the Easter bunny helpers.
