The Tehachapi Police Department arrested 12 people on suspected misdemeanors and four people on suspected felonies during the week of Oct. 4-11.
The felony arrests the department listed on a weekly report were on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful possession of tear gas and altering a vehicle identification number; possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales and felon in possession of ammunition; possession of a stolen vehicle; and assault with a deadly weapon and violation of post-release community supervision.
Officers handled a total of 185 incidents, including responding to 144 calls for service from the public and 41 officer-initiated incidents.
Officers wrote a total of 25 reports.
Other stats that show the work officers performed for the week: 30 business or building checks and 17 checks on vehicles or pedestrians.
