The Tehachapi Police Department arrested 11 people on suspected misdemeanors and five people on suspected felonies during the week of May 3-9.

The felony arrests the department listed on a weekly report were two arrests for felony warrants; threatening a peace officer and carrying a concealed dagger; bringing a controlled substance in a jail; and carrying a concealed dagger and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Officers handled a total of 231 incidents, including responding to 130 calls for service from the public and 101 officer-initiated incidents.

Officers wrote a total of 35 reports.
