Marion Barbara Brown, Aug. 31, 1931 – Dec. 30, 2020

Marion Barbara Brown, born Aug. 31, 1931, in San Diego, Calif., passed away on Dec. 30, 2020, in Tehachapi, Calif.

Marion departed our world in a peaceful sleep. She was 89 years old. Marion had been suffering from dementia/Alzheimer’s, sundown syndrome, a broken hip, and other health issues over the last few years. Marion, no longer suffering, has made her peaceful transition from our world to her Home above.

Marion was born and raised in San Diego to her mother, Marion Porter Wolfe of Pennsylvania, and father, James Paul Campbell from Scotland. Marion attended Catholic school through high school. For a brief time, she was a dental assistant. She married Harry Walter brown in 1951, who passed away on June 5, 1993.

Marion and Harry raised eight children: James, Trisha, Michael, Lynn, Thomas, Joseph, Timothy and Raymond. Back in those days, there were a lot of hardships and tough times, but we always managed.

After Harry passed, Marion moved to live in Tehachapi where most of her children resided. Having eight children, Marion was always proud of her 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. That is a lot of names to remember!!!

Marion will be remembered for her stories of the wars and growing up with her chickens and goats, as well as her passion to sing with the Summit Singers, playing the piano, sewing and gardening.

You will be truly missed, MAMA. All of our Love, your children, families and friends forever. Your wings have carried you far. God Bless You. AMEN.

There will be a small private service on Jan. 22, 2021 at the Tehachapi Westside Cemetery due to COVID-19. You may visit after that date, at the niche mausoleum.

Wood Family Funeral Service was entrusted with her care. For condolences, please visit woodmortuary.net.
