Nella Jean Hifner, 1937-2022

Nella Jean Hifner, 84, has passed away from this earth, peacefully, into the arms of Jesus our Lord on Nov. 4, 2022 at 5:50 a.m. She lived for 30 years in Tehachapi with her beloved husband of 63 years, Jim Hifner, who preceded her in heaven. She is survived by myself, her only daughter, her son-in-law, only grandson, sister, brother, many nephews and nieces, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Nella was born Dec. 19, 1937 in Dardenelle, Ark. At a very young age, she moved to California, where she grew up. There she met the love of her life, Jim Hifner, and sometime later they were married on Dec. 27, 1955 in Kingman, Ariz.

To know Nella was to love Nella. She lived her life serving the Lord and making people happy. She was a devoted wife and mother and the best friend any one could have. If you met her, you were her friend for life. There is nothing my mother wouldn’t do for anyone she loved. Her heart was as big as the sky and her love was undeniable. Her family and friends were the most important thing to her and she loved being the “life of the party.” There wasn’t a soul who she couldn’t make laugh and usually to the point of rushing to the bathroom to avoid an accident! She loved laughing more than anything and anyone who spent time with her was always in for a treat.

The Celebration of Life for Nella Jean will be held in Tehachapi in February 2023. On the anniversary of her husband’s death, Saturday the 18th, together again, for all eternity. Keep in touch with me, Kim Marra, on social media for upcoming details of the event.
