The Tehachapi community, over the 35 years I have lived here, has always valued legacy, history and family. We choose to honor those values as we raised our children and celebrated our seniors.
We make choices every day, and for most of us we choose to do the right thing. Integrity is committing to do the right thing day after day. When I see and read of this Tehachapi family only taking their own desires into account it saddens me.
For the community, for our children, and our seniors health and well-being, being devalued is not the right thing to do. It is not costing us our freedom to wear a mask. You're not out one penny to social distance.
When we do the right thing we gain peace to know we made a difference in continuing Tehachapi’s legacy, history and family.
