Perfect 10’s competitive boys team competed at the SCMGA North Conference Championships on Feb. 16 at Victory Gymnastics in Newbury Park. Twelve of Perfect 10’s boys team members met the qualifying placement to be eligible to compete at state championships. The Level 5-10 Division 1 state championships will be held March 13 to 15 at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. The Level 4, Level 5-7 Division 2, and Level JD state championships will be held March 21 and 22 at Gymnastics Olympica in Van Nuys.

The Level 4’s (Noah Fulks, Cody Girvan and Mitchell Sheridan) kicked off the day. Each of them earned achievement ribbons for performing their routines on floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and high bar.

Percy Gonzalez, Level 5 Division 2, ages 7-10, tied for 13th on floor with an 8.000, tied for 14th on pommel horse with an 8.400, tied for 20th on rings with an 8.100, placed 21st on vault with a 7.800, tied for 10th on parallel bars with an 8.000, tied for 10th on high bar with an 8.400, and placed 17th in the all-around with a combined score of 48.700.

Eli Guzzo, Level 5 Division 2, ages 7-10, tied for 17th on floor with a 7.600, placed 20th on pommel horse with a 7.200, 19th on rings with an 8.300, 22nd on vault with a 7.400, tied for 15th on parallel bars with a 7.700, placed 23rd on high bar with a 7.100, and placed 22nd in the all-around with a combined score of 45.300.

Andrew Sabo, Level 6 Division 1, age 10, placed 4th on floor with a 9.100, 2nd on pommel horse with a 9.500, 2nd on rings with a 10.000, 4th on vault with a 9.000, 4th on parallel bars with a 9.600, 4th on high bar with a 9.000, and placed 3rd in the all-around with a combined score of 56.200.

Daniel Lambrecht, Level 6 Division 1, age 10, placed 5th on floor with an 8.000, 3rd on pommel horse with an 8.600, 5th on rings with an 8.200, 5th on vault with an 8.800, 5th on parallel bars with a 9.000, 5th on high bar with an 8.300, and placed 5th in the all-around with a combined score of 50.900.

Drew Whitlach, Level 6 Division 1, age 12, placed 2nd on floor with a 9.500, 2nd on pommel horse with an 8.700, 2nd on rings with a 9.300, 1st on vault with a 9.500, 2nd on parallel bars with a 9.900, tied for 1st on high bar with an 8.900, and placed 2nd in the all-around with a combined score of 55.800.

Liam Alsbury, Level JD Division 1, ages 12-14, tied for 2nd on floor with an 11.300, placed 3rd on pommel horse with a 7.800, tied for 1st on rings with a 10.900, placed 8th on vault with a 10.700, 4th on parallel bars with a 10.600, 3rd on high bar with a 9.100, and placed 3rd in the all-around with a combined score of 60.400.

Mason Cohen, Level JD Division 1, ages 12-14, placed 4th on floor with an 11.200, 6th on pommel horse with a 6.600, 4th on rings with a 10.300, tied for 5th on vault with a 10.900, placed 5th on parallel bars with a 10.500, 7th on high bar with an 8.400, and placed 5th in the all-around with a combined score of 57.900.

Peter Sabo, Level JD Division 1, ages 15-18, tied for 1st on floor with an 11.200, placed 1st on pommel horse with a 9.000, 1st on rings with an 11.000, 2nd on vault with an 11.000, 2nd on parallel bars with an 11.100, 1st on high bar with a 9.500, and placed 1st in the all-around with a combined score of 62.800.

Keona Howells, Level JD Division 1, ages 15-18, placed 3rd on floor with an 11.100, 2nd on pommel horse with a 6.800, 3rd on rings with a 10.300, 1st on vault with an 11.100, 3rd on parallel bars with an 11.000, 3rd on high bar with an 8.200, and placed 2nd in the all-around with a combined score of 58.500.

The Level JD Division 1 Team brought home a first place team banner.
