The THS Girls Swim Team competed against 27 teams May 28-29 for the Division II Central Section Swimming Championships. The team swam at the new Kern High School District Aquatic Complex. With only six girls on the team, they brought home a 2nd Place trophy. The top individual girl swimmer for Tehachapi was Alaina Riggs placing 2nd in the 200 Yard Freestyle and 2nd in the 500 Yard Freestyle.

The following girls placed in finals: Olivia Ringle 4th 200 Yard IM and 6th 100 Yard Backstroke; Hannah Regan 6th 50 Yard Freestyle and 6th 100 Yard Freestyle; Regan Rodriguez 6th 100 Yard Breaststroke and 14th 100 Yard Butterfly; Davery Pogon-Cord 3rd 100 Yard Backstroke and 12th 100 Yard Freestyle; and Sarah Daverin 11th 100 Yard Breaststroke.

The mighty swim girls who won the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay and brought home the gold were Hannah Regan, Olivia Ringle, Davery Pogon-Cord and Alaina Riggs. Also placing 4th in the 200 Yard Medley Relay were Regan Rodriguez, Davery Pagon-Cord, Hannah Regan and Olivia Ringle.

The boys swim team worked very hard this season and placed 9th in CIF. The top boy swimmer for Tehachapi was Bryce Rodriguez, placing 3rd in the 100 Butterfly and 3rd in the 100 Backstroke.

The following boys placed in finals: Tyler Regan 7th 500 yard Freestyle and 8th 50 Yard Freestyle and Carter Yeomans 5th 100 Yard Backstroke and 8th 100 Yard Freestyle. The forever strong boys swim team placed 5th in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay were Carter Yeomans, Miguel Camarena, Bryce Rodriguez and Tyler Regan. Also placing 9thin the 200 Yard Medley Relay were Carter Yeomans, Steven Ringle, Bryce Rodriguez and Tyler Regan.

The THS Swim Team and parents want to formally thank Coach Leanna Delgadillo and Heather Ringle for their hard work and dedication to the team.
